ebook-speaker software package provides eBook reader that reads aloud in a synthetic voice, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ebook-speaker
ebook-speaker is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ebook-speaker package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ebook-speaker *
You will get with ebook-speaker package name, version, architecture and description in a table
